About Melissa

I support midlife women navigating ADHD and perimenopause symptoms to regain clarity and confidence in their lives and careers.
I spent over a decade in community engagement, consulting, and advocacy - actively listening to people and advocating alongside them, before making the transition to counselling. Somewhere along the way, that work shifted towards systems change. And change can be slow - too slow for many navigating systems that weren't build with them in mind.
If you're here, you may have spent years doubting yourself and your worth, resorting to people-pleasing, perfectionism, or procrastination.
Maybe you feel that your career and life choices were based on who you thought you should be, losing sight of who you really are.
I'm here to help you explore what really matters to you - and what's possible by reconnecting with your strengths - so you can gain clarity and confidence in life and work.
Counselling Approach
My approach is practical, supportive, and focused on helping you make sense of your experience without over-pathologising it.
I work with both diagnosed and self-identified ADHD attention and executive functioning difficulties that often become more noticeable during perimenopause and menopause.
Recognising that every person's experience is unique, I work collaboratively with you to ensure our sessions are aligned with your specific needs and goals. My approach is person centred and trauma-informed, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies including:
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Solution Focused Therapy
-
Creative Therapies
-
Mindfulness
-
Strengths Based
At the core of what I do is respecting and celebrating your autonomy and believing that you have the resources you need within you. I'm here to help you recognise and embrace your strengths, to reach your goals and thrive.
When you feel ready to connect, I would love to hear from you.
